“… For flood and fire and famine, she pays us back threefold …”

A house burns in Conjola on New Year's Eve - MATTHEW ABBOTT / NEW YORK TIMES / REDUX / EYEVINE

Dorothea MacKellar’s 1904 poem captures the essence of the Australian spirit rising above the natural disasters that periodically beset our country.

The members and volunteers of Partner Housing extend our condolences to the families of those who died during the current bushfire season.

We also want to play our part in rebuilding our country. Partner Housing is an entirely volunteer organisation, offering probono professional services to Australians who have suffered loss of building infrastructure. In cooperation with Engineers Australia and Association of Consulting Structural Engineers (NSW), Partner Housing will facilitate the design of replacement buildings where owners, for various reasons, are unable to engage the services of local consulting engineers in normal commercial relationships. The need will vary and we remain flexible.
